Père Lachaise Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Paris, France (48 ha, 118.6 acres). Located in the 20th arrondissement where I live, it is reputed to be the world's most-visited cemetery, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to the graves of those who have enhanced French life over the past 200 years. A lot of famous people are there as Balzac, Molière, Edith Piaf, Jim Morisson ...

This trip we will be very close to Montparnasse Cemetery so it will be on our list but I'm thinking we've got to see ole Serge's grave site here!

ReplyDeleteMy very first trip to Paris I went to Père Lachaise - to see Chopin's grave. I found the whole cemetery a beautiful place to walk in and To be.
