Laperouse


Laperouse is a famous Parisian restaurant and one of the oldest as it was founded in 1766. It is located on the river left bank and offers old fashioned "cabinet" style that you can see on their website. The place was very famous in the 1860's when all the "Paris litteraire" like Zola, Maupassant, Musset and Hugo used to come there to eat. Diner for one person is around 110 euros.

    A wonderfully ancient, but well preserved building. I love the dark blue colour and golden mouldings - very parisian.

    j´ai vu ce restaurant là quand j´etais a Paris, mais j´ai dejà imaginè que serait trop cher...

    What a beautiful building and such a rich history! I love that particular shade of blue that they chose.
