The Pont de Bercy crosses the Seine river between 12th and 13th arrondissements. On the bridge stands a Viaduc on which runs the subway (you can see it on the picture).

«Louis» knows exactly where this bridge is - he went to L'école boulangerie et pâtisserie de Paris in Bercy. In front of the bridge, that's the Ministry of Finance, looking for all the world like something out of Star Wars. «Louis» always wondered if that building didn't levitate the wallets out of the drivers of the cars passing on the freeway below!
How in the world did the city of Paris let that monstrosity be built right there on the Seine? Like the bridge though. I think it would be fun to Metro across it! V
Yes the big building is the Ministry of Economy and Finances. It's about 20 years old and personally I do not hate it. This part of Paris used to be industrial and I am in favor of modern architecture. Of course it may be less traditional Paris for visitors but for Parisian it's nice to have e living city and not a museum one. Look at London or Barcelona how they manage the old and new !
