The French "TGV" (High speed train) is certainly our number one public transportation. Here you see the Montparnasse railway stations with trains going west. You can for exaample take this train to the city of Tours ( Loire castles valley) that you wil reach within 1 hour instead of at least 2h30 by car (with no traffic which is quite never the case in Paris).

Had you taken this photo back in April, I could easily have been in it ;)

Those trains look sleek.
ReplyDeleteI"ve not had the courage to do the TGV ( but I can say it in French now! :)) I hope to one day.
ReplyDeleteI would love to ride that train. Just once.
ReplyDeleteThese are such beautiful trains! Sleek is word that comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats riding the TGV! I loved riding the TGV from London into Paris in July 2009!
ReplyDeleteThe TGV is much smoother than the German ICE.
ReplyDeleteGreat Theme Day post--I think I saw one of these trains go by when I was on a bus to Paris from the coast; it was such a quick event! Mine is up on November 1 at Portland Oregon Daily Photo; it’s a photo that I took on the Portland, Oregon, MAX Light Rail last Saturday.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing pictures. I was also on my paris city tour last week and clicked some great pictures.
