Beautiful! It's interesting how these churches can be so different and all so similar as well. I love the varieties of Gothic. You're so lucky to have them. I feel luck to have been able to visit them!
Beautiful! I've come to the conclusion that it is not possible to "see it all" no matter how many times one visits Paris. There's always something left to see for the "next visit."
This is a beautiful church. The priest was holding a service here when Peter and visited late on a Saturday afternoon. I'm so glad I got to visit here. V

ReplyDeleteNow that is truly a heavenly vault! Fantastic! (And I want to know how they clean it!)
ReplyDeleteA heavenly photo of another magnificent cathedral in Paris! One I haven't yet seen - I'll add it to my Paris list thanks to you, Laurent!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how high they built these temples in the 16th century! It somehow reminds me of the ceilings of Jeronimus Church I previously posted.

ReplyDeletePronunciation question: do you say a "z sound" between the les and halles? Merci.
ReplyDeleteHarriet, you would pronounce Les and Halles with no Z in between.
