The rue de Rivoli is one of the longest street in Paris starting in Le Marais and ending Place de la Conconcorde after 3 kms.
As it longs the north wing of the Louvre museum it has arcades like you can see here with shops and expensive hotels.

Oh Laurent, we stayed a block off the rue de Rivoli last November. I've sipped wine in several places along there and pressed my nose to many shop windows. I even stepped into the fabulous Hôtel Meurice and took a few quick photos. Brings back memories!

OMG, this is one of my favorite streets in Paris. I'm homesick. Great photo!!!
C'est bien joli tout ça... mais moi, j'aimerai bien voir un peu les illuminations de Noêl !!!
Bon, je dis ça comme ça en passant !!!
Ca va venir Fred , ca va venir ...
Merci
;~)
Oh I know this is long!!!
When my friend and I went to Paris for the first time back in April ..we had to meet a friend near Angelinas..but coming out of the Louvre..we turned the wrong way, ended up walking all the way back ...from Rue Des Halles, we had taken a breather for coffee and water..long long walk.
Second time there in August, I had no problem and found my way there from Le Invalides...walking :-)
