Le Grand Palais

Le Grand Palais is an exhibition center near the Champs Elysée and this entrance is the one for the Nave which is a giant place where big exhibitions or shows  take place. Among the exhibition there is one called "Monumenta" when each year an artist is invited to use the huge nave for his art. I will show you tomorrow what absolutely must see exhibition we have this year.

Stunning building style! Love how statues are integrated into the facade of the building!

Wonderful photo! I'm wondering if this is where I saw the huge Marc Chagall exhibit in 2003? Or was it the Petit Palais...? Can't wait to see what you tell us will be on in late July!

I went to one of the huge exhibitions. The artist, whose name I cannot remember, totally stole his exhibit from the movie "2001, A Space Odyesey". I was surprised by the number of people ooh-ing and ahh-ing about his brilliance and who obviously had no clue what they were actually seeing.

I was at the Grand Palais twice, in April 2009 for the Andy Warhol exhibition and in November 2010 for the Monet exhibition. I would love to see Anish Kapoor´s "Leviathan".

That's a fantastic, monumental building! I haven't yet been inside - another Paris sight to add to my list for the next time....
