Green colour for CDP theme day, summer break for me and maybe more for my blog ...

It's theme day today and also it's time for my summer holidays. I am taking a long break away from Paris and also away from the blog. This may also be a longer break than my holiday time as I may not continue blogging when I return. It's been 2 years and a half since I started this blog which I enjoyed a lot updating everyday and sharing with people from all over the world. Now I feel maybe a little less motivated and I'm thinking of ending this nice story. Maybe the holidays will make me change my mind ...

I second the above comments. Your postings have also been required daily reading for me. Another one of my blog favorites, Just Another American in Paris, is leaving Paris tomorrow to return to the States; both you & Anne will definitely be missed.

Hopefully after your time away you will return motivated, but if not, thank you for showing me and those like me who will never see your city in person, some wonderful views of Paris and more.
Have a nice vacation.

I was getting the same way until I spent some time away. Hopefully you will miss it as I did. Enjoy your time away.

I'm fairly new to your blog - several months now and have not commented until now, to say Adieu and thank you for all the lovely photos! Will miss visiting Paris on a daily basis. It's been very special. Will keep an eye open for you sometime in the future. I also blog, mostly in words not photos. I can appreciate the commitment.

My mornings wouldn't be the same without you Laurent. I stopped commenting on most of my blogs because I don't always have the time (and don't always know what to write except "beautiful"). Have a good vacation and come back soon.

Love your green theme and also hope you return. I have been doing this for almost a year and realize the comment and time involved, so I understand after 2.5 years the need for a break. I have a completely different respect for those CDP blogger who maintain a daily photo.

You should enjoy your vacation and take a bit of a break. Selfishly I hope that you will return to blogging as your photos are a wonderful insight into a Parisian's Paris. My favorites are the Sunset from the Jeu de Paume and your photo of of the year for 2010 of la roule and the Obelisk -- fabulous.

I'm another newcomer who hopes you will return refreshed from your vacation and feel a new enthusiasm for your blog. Sure, there are other places to view photos of Paris, but not with Laurent's unique perspective! Wishing you delicious and relaxing vacances.

Enjoy your summer holiday and I hope when you come back you decide to continue your work on your site. I had the pleasure of going to Paris in 2004 and found the people and city absolutely wonderful. Since I live in the US but hope to get back to Paris, your site is one of the first visits on the web for me everyday.

Wishing you a lovely vacation. Crossing my fingers that you return to the blog. Several times a week, as I carpool 50 miles to work in San Antonio Texas, I visit Paris through your photos. I would miss your blog, and the virtual vacation your beautiful photographs give me. Thank you!

Have a wonderful holiday - sometimes a change is as good as a rest. I hope you find some new fuel for the tank. x

Laurent, I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation. This might be the first time I comment, but I have been checking your blog daily, as the photos you post have always put more life into my days. It will be very sad for me, and as I see, to many other people as well, for the blog to end; yet, I really want to thank you, because your photos, changed everyday I have lived to the better, Hoping that we see more photos when you return. I feel now the same way, I felt when I had to depart from that wonderful city.

My dear Laurent. I hope you find renewed enthusiasm upon your return. I count you among my most favorite blogs but more than that , one of my favorite Paris friends. I hope you won't stop now, but if you do, please may we stay in touch?

I hope you change your mind! I am a New Zealander. I have visited Paris twice and love to re-visit it through your gorgeous pictures.

Oh no... This is by far one of my favorite blogs!!! I'm a bona fide francophile, and I loved checking your photos of Paris every morning before the start of my day (I lived there for many years...) I'm a writer and know a thing about being burned out and not having the inspiration to continue creatively ... I'm hoping your break renews your creativity and gives you the desire to keep showing us Paris through your eyes! Have a wonderful summer and much needed break! Hope you'll be back!

Have a great holiday Laurent, and I too am hoping that you return to your wonderful blog. I've always enjoyed your beautiful captures of Paris - I wish I had commented more often. I can only hope your holiday refreshes you enough to re-motivate you to continue.
