Continuing with parks and gardens, here is a view of the Parc des Butte Chaumont in the north-eastern part of Paris. This is one of the largest park in Paris. It was developed by the Baron Haussmann and opened in 1867. I love the views from the top of the hill and from the Belvedere from which I took this picture.

Certainly a view you don't often see of Paris.
i just found your site and I like your photos. I have signed up as a follower and look forward to more great photos.
Thanks and welcome to Paris. I just also now discover your blog and I like it. Very far from what we live and see here and that's what great about those daliy photo blogs !
God, I love Paris!
Wonderful shot Laurent. I've heard of this park--is this the one with a waterfall? and a structure high on a cliff (is that the belvedere?)
Yes Jill, that's the one
Thanks Laurent. I saw a program done by the BBC with a lady who is/was an art historian at the Louvre I think. She was in the belvedere and it was covered with graffiti! Such a travesty.
