Sounds like a recipe for an interesting (and maybe loud!) day, to say the least.

Great shot. I've only experienced one Fete de la Musique day in Paris. What fun! Thanks for reminding me that this happened today.

Like, Harriet, I've only been in Paris for one -- in 2002. It was such fun!

Yes, Manila has several performances for Fête de la Musique every year, and this year is no exception. But since the embassy moved them to a farther location, we haven't been able to go for two years running. And it's so much fun! I don't think I've seen violinists among those we watched in the past though.

Great shot Laurent. No such fun here though. I was noticing everyone has on a jacket or sweater--must have been a chilly day.

Those musicians' clothes don't look very summery! What a shame on the fist day of summer! Here in Austin it's going to be nearly 40°, and we're celebrating Fathers' Day in the US.

I want to see and hear this for myself someday. Your photo looks like it's near the apartment in Palais Royal where I stay when I go to Paris.
