While the French Tennis Open is on at Roland-Garros, the Paris City Hall square has been transformed into a tennis court and lots of other exhibitions about tennis.
Every day a former tennis player (Mc Enroe, Guy Forget ...) comes to play on this court and people can also watch the live matches from Roland-Garros on a giant screen.

A nice idea. Helps to promote interest in the event.
I am always in awe at what Paris comes up with (beaches, clay courts, velib...). Heaven forbit anything like that would happen in Los Angeles.
What a place to play tennis. Outstanding. (I'm happy to be your 50th Follower!!)
Bonjour Laurent! I'm visiting Paris soon and keen to find some unusual areas to photograph, away from the tourists. Could you recommend a few unusual spots please? Thank you!
Very fun! And can I make a special request? Will you please, please photograph some of the festivities on Midsummer Night? I had such fun in Paris that night in 2002 and I'd love to soak in the sites in absentia.
Oh la la, McEnroe ça me ramène en enfance ! C'est quand même bizarre, je suis passée rue de Rivoli en rentrant du Père Lachaise samedi et je n'ai... rien vu. C'est grave, docteur ?
Absolutely gorgeous building!
