The Josephine Baker swiming pool is indeed located on the river and the water used to fill it is taken from the river and cleaned on the location. More information about this pool is available on the Paris website (in French). I've been there and it's a nice sensation to be swiming at the river level.

What a fabulous idea. I've never seen anything like it except on a cruise ship. What fun it mustbe. I'll need to look for it when I get to Paris.
What a clever idea! Looks like fun.
My friend and I walked past this on the way back from Bercy Parc...it looked like it was being drained, not sure why, and it was empty, as it was sooo hot inside I assume.
