Flags

French are not flag people. We quite never put flag in our homes like you can see in some countries (except for special events like Soccer world cup) and the only places where you can find French Flag are public buildings like this beautiful Hotel Particulier located on the Place de l'Etoile (you can see the reflexion of the Arc de Triomphe in the windows).

Gorgeous photos these past few days, Laurent! I'm sorry I was away from my computer for the holiday. I really missed seeing your daily treats!

That is a beautiful building. I always envied the people who lived there, particularly their garden and the view!

I also laugh when you all say, " Blue, white and red". Not to be confused with our , "Red white and blue." I love seeing the French flag waving in Paris on your lovely buildings. Vive la France, oui??? :)

Virginia, I may be wrong about this but my deduction is that the French say blue, white, red, because in French the easiest linguistic combination of words is bleu, blanc, rouge. In English, it's more easily said as red, white, blue. ?????

Non, I think they don't want to be like us!! :) And pour moi, it's all hard to say en français, but you all knew that already! C'est dommage. :(
