La République

This statue representing the French Republic stands in the center of the "Place de la République" one of the largest square in the city. The square has been created in 1889 for the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.

Laurent, does she wear the red "scarf" all the time or is this a special occasion? Lovely with that moody gray "Paris " sky! :)

I've never seen this statue with a scarf of any color.

The scarf was put on thé statue last december 1st for the international day of AIDS fight. It has been left since then and I don't know for how long.
