Winston and the man

As I am leaving Paris today to London where I will spend the Easter 3 days weekend (monday is a bank holiday in France) here is a British post with Winston Churchill's huge statue in front of the Petit Palais.
As London is nearly Paris suburb I will keep posting Paris pictures during the weekend.

Great photo! Have a great weekend. You are so lucky to live in one and visit the other of my two favorite cities in the world.

What a fine juxtaposition of the man sitting and Winston walking. The statue of Churchill captures his bulldog determination. Posting this as you embark for Londres is certainly apropos!

Are you taking the Eurostar?

At least London is closer than Pakistan.

I can't believe it, but I took a similar photo on Wed on our way to the Grand Palais to see the Turner exhibit.

How do you take such good photos in this cold weather?

Next week we will be in Brittany, perhaps we can touch base the following week.....

Bon weekend Laurent!
Harriet, I couldn't remember when you would be in France exactly. I know it has been cold but hopefully it will warm up really soon for you to enjoy your stay even more. Have a good time!

I am a little bit scared for the sitting man! Great capture, Laurent.

Thanks Nadege. Today was a little warmer. I finally found a little guide with all the bus stops -- learning to use the bus is one of my personal goals on this trip.

The statue looks so animated, like he's gong to walk over the seated man. Have a lovely trip.

Looks like the famous, irascible old Brit is gonna step on that poor Frenchman-:)

Have a good Easter weekend!
