Just a simple door

A nice building entrance on the Quai des Célestins along the Seine river in the 4th arrondissement.

I guess that is what they call simple in Paris! I love the ornaments.

A bit more than just a door for sure.

It's obvious the reddish doors make the photograph pop with life. I am trying to imagine the door in a black or maybe wood brown. But then this would give an austere appearance or even a forbidding feel to this image.

And of course the carved figures are beautiful no matter what color they are next to.

Laurent, I walked past this door every day that I stayed with my French family during my recent stay in Paris. It is gorgeous.

I'm glad that others now have a chance to see this beautiful building.

The next time you're in that neighborhood, look up near the school which is nearby. There is a beautiful building set back from the street that you can see over the fence. Worth a photo.
