Le Musée des Arts Forains public opening

Like they did last year, the "The museum of Fairground Arts" reopened its door to individual public this Christmas season. Just a magical atmosphere. I would really recomend the visit if your're in Paris until January 2nd.
For more about it see my last year post : Musée des Arts Forains

Well, Laurent, now I have two reasons to go to Bercy... what wonderful renovations and use of the buildings for this museum... I can only imagine what a fabulous soirée it would be for a private event catered by Dalloyau!

After several failed attempts on various trips to Paris to join a private tour of the musée, I finally was able to get in in Dec. 2008. Even though I cannot speak (or understand much) French, I was thoroughly entertained. It was well worth the effort to finally get there!

Does this mean it's only open at specific times of the years, and rarely to the public? What is the point of a museum closed to the public?

@ Starman

It is actually open to public during the year but only for groups that are booked in advance. It is because it's a live museum where you can touch and play with the objects shown and you also have shows. So it's quite difficult to visit when you're by your own except now.

OH POOH! We'll miss it but I suspect there will be many delights for us when we come! As always. :)

...except you won't be there!:(
