Mogador theater

French are not very into musicals and so Paris does not offer many shows like in New York, London or Berlin but for the past years there seem to have been a new go for this kind of shows. Here you can see the Mogador theater in the 9th arrondissement which specialized in musicals. They showed Lion King for years and now the big hit is Mamma Mia. The theater itself is splendid and so is the neighborhood as you can see.

This could be the production that would spur interest in musicals. Mama Mia is so much fun to see and sing along. I wonder if the audience is participating in the show like they do here in the states.

Nice shot!

I have seen Mama mia in paris - Jerome Pradon is well known in London! My first ever visit to this beautiful theatre was to see Roch Vosine in concert.

Then I saw 'Cendrillon' a few times with the gorgeous Stephane Neville and the totally charmiing Franck Vincent! And around my 3rd visit Alyssa Landry!

I am a musical junkie and see shows all over the world. I am always amazed about how different London is to Paris - in Paris the shows last a few months, then return after the August break. I saw 'Cabaret' at folies around 30 times in the time it was on in Paris. Current fav is Mozart which finishes in July in Paris - looking forward to 'Adam & Eve' next year and 'Hairspray' in late April
