Musée d'Orsay

I've already posted photos of the inside of the Orsay Museum. Here is a view from across the Seine of this beautiful former railway station which has been transformed into one of the best Paris museum.

Such a crisp photo with no river traffic - how did you manage that? Wonderful. At the risk of a few flying tomatoes in my direction, I like the Orsay much better than the Louvre.

I will not throw any tomatoes. I, too, like the Musée d'Orsay much better than the Louvre. I spent much of one day in her back in September 2006, the dying echoes of trains and whistles, and the hustle-bustle of travellers, sounding in my soul.

Ditto! This was the first museum I went to on my trip to Paris in December and I fell in love with it. It is beautiful and wondrous.

Wonderful photo! Nothing beats seeing "old friends" of Paris: places that we long to return to.
