Bad weather ...

... but great sky ! We have some very rare short moments of blue sky these days and all the rest is grey and wet wet wet ... I hate November ! As some of you seemed to like yesterday's French expression, here is a new one related to the picture " c'est un temps de novembre " meaning " it's november weather". This is used anytime of year to complain when the weather is rainy and grey which is typical of November here but unfortunately also happens all year round.

These little French phrases that you are teaching us are real gems for those of us trying to learn the language. Am I understanding correctly that one can use the phrase 'c'est un temps de novembre' even in the month of décembre?

I wish I could send you a little of the sunny weather we are having in Charleston today.

The weather is so gorgeous in LA. No smog as the Santa Ana winds are blowing.
Laurent, I never heard that expression before, only "quel sale temps!" "Il fait un temps de chien".

Be patient. After winter time, spring comes....

Weather is a major problem in Paris. When it's good, the city sparkles. When it's bad (most of the time), it's just another dreary city.

Merci, Laurent! Another good French lesson to go along with a lovely photo. I can relate to 'c'est un temps de novembre' --- I've lived in places where November weather pops up anytime. (ugh)
