Interesting. I'm curious as to what that apparently little old lady in the purple sweater is doing on that old vessel.
I love the house barges on the Seine. My son did a watercolor for me of some of these boats with the Eiffel Tower in the background. For more (a LOT more) information on these read "The Secret Life of the Seine" by Mort Rosenblum.
I was thinking the same thing as SRQ, that little lady really caught my eye!

It is a place where Houseboats are docked and people live there year round right in the Hudson river in New York:

Thanks for the idea since I will be spending part of my summer holidays in NY I will go and see that area.
If I was single, I would so want to live on a houseboat on the Seine. There are a few for rent.
How completely fantastic. I would love to buy the woman a nice dinner and listen to her stories of the Seine.

Have you posted the model of the Statue of Liberty on that little island in the Seine near la tour Eiffel?
living on the Seine Wow !! do you know if it is expensive to do this- I guess most of the house-boats are privately owned - but would they still have to pay for the site ?? We may feel sorry for this lady but I agree with "Eiffel Tower Suzy" what a wealth of stories she would have to tell.
