Institut du monde arabe

This building is the Arabic World Institute in Paris located on the Seine river bank. It is a cultural institute to promote exchanges between France and the Arab World. The building itself was deigned by French architect Jean Nouvel. The windows you can see on the side are  opening and closing apertures according to the sun. On top of the building you can find a nice desk from which you have a great view on Notre Dame Cathedral.

It looks like a piece of lace. Beautiful architecture.

I loved the look of this building the first time I ever saw it. Went to an exhibition there that was most interesting.

I've been here! I took several photos on the inside looking out of those fabulous screens. This is a great photo of the building. Sadly, I didn't make it to the top deck for the view. Next time.
