5 avenue de l'Observatoire

If you're in Paris and you like architecture or simply nice buildings I would recommend this gorgeous one located at 5 avenue de l'Observatoire near the south entrance of the Luxembourg garden. Below is a close up to the fabulous elephant head upon the window on the right, unfortunately cut by a bad framing (sorry) but I did not want you to miss it :

It's amazing how we miss so many little wonderful details in the architecture. Thanks Laurent

When I dream of having an apartment in Paris, it's in a building such as this. BUT, I would consider myself lucky if this was the view from my chambre de bonne.

I really love the long, expansive windows and balconies, and the architectural details are marvelous. My kind of place for sure.

It's quite a lovely building, I love the elephant detail! I guess the theme is the circus?

Not only is a beautiful building with wonderful detailing but it is well taken care of too. Very nice to look at. Not sure I would have noticed the elephant had you not mentioned it. Thanks.

WE should do a coffee table book of the wonderful details on the Paris apartments. I"ve always wanted to do one on all the wrought iron railing designs too!

I love the Belle Époque buildngs of Paris and this is an example of it. A delight to my eyes!

Very lovely and monumental zone of Paris, also. At least that is I've saw with Google Street view, even though other places of the city are very beautiful but the climate or a little bit dark ambient doesn't favor.

I've said! XD

I agree with Virginia, and think that with all of the shots we already have, it might be a series of books... lots of coffee tables!

Love the elephant, Laurent!
