I love Paris in the springtime ...

Today I invite you to join me for a walk on the Seine river banks as we have the most perfect spring weather forecast. Sky is blue, temperatures are warm and the nature is splendid. This confirms that April is one of the best period to visit Paris and one of my favorite. 

On the Pont de Sully

I was riding back home and when I crossed the river on the Pont de Sully I couldn't help but stopping to take a picture. I've seen that view hundreds of time but I am still in love with it ... and even it's freezing cold in Paris , the sun is shining and the sky is great. What more ?

More blue sky

I told you yesterday that I will post more sunday blue sky picture. Here is the Notre Dame Cathedral with the Christmas tree which is still there. I just love it !

Let's continue with Christmas trees in Paris. This year we have a blue Christmas tree in front of Notre Dame Cathedral. It's gorgeous at night.

Paris cliché

I don't know about you but me, even though I'm living here, I never get tired of the "cliché" views of Paris. Notre Dame Cathedral's tower are certainly one of these photos but when I'm near, especially at that time of the day when they put on the lightings and the sky is not totally dark yet, I can't help staying there looking at this beauty and if I happen to have my camera with me ... here's what it gives.

Bike in the city

If you've been in Paris during the past 2 years you've probably noticed that the city has now a lot of bikes on the streets. Not only the Velib, our free bike system, but also private bikes that Parisian now use really more than ever before. This weekend I was in London and I was happy to see that they also started last july with a free bike system like in Paris. The good thing about Velib is that you don't have to care about parking your bike. I think that the owner of the bike of today's photo found a quite nice parking place (not sure it's allowed by the way ...)

A bridge to Notre Dame

As I am spending my vacation in Paris yesterday I took a long walk along the Seine river and look how beautiful Notre Dame cathedral is with the gorgeous spring trees.

Still that picnic night

I can't help sharing a second picture I took on that picnic night the day before yesterday. We had a terrific sunset over Notre Dame and the Seine river.

Theme day : empty

Yesterday evening we had a lovely picnic on the river bank with our friends from Quebec, Canada who are staying with us for the week... and we have emptied the bottles !

Quai de Béthune

The Quai de Bethune is on the "Ile Saint louis", the island on the Seine river next to the "Ile de la Cité" where Notre Dame Cathedral stands.

I like a lot these statues on top of the cathedral's roof which need a good zoom or binoculars to be seen.

Night walk

Yesterday we finished the day with a night bike ride and a walk in center Paris.  The weather was warm, the atmostphere nice and I couldn't resist taking this "classical " yet so beautifull view of Notre Dame cathedral.
