La fée électricité by Raoul Dufy

La fée électricité by Raoul Dufy is a huge painting (624 square meter) that you can see at the Paris Museum of Modern Art in the Palais de Tokyo (free entrance). The paintor made this incredible painting for the International Exhibition of Arts and Technology of 1937 representing Electricity through the centuries. If you enlarge the picture (click on it) you can see a person behind the sign "Marcel" that gives an idea of the size of the painting.
It has been a long time since I haven't visited this museum since I am not found of the Palais de Tokyo which is still in a poor condition but I had friends from Orleans at home and it is still worth seen it when you visit Paris. If you come by métro you should stop at Iena station and walk down to the museum. That is where you've got this great view on the Eiffel Tower that Virginia and I both posted.

Wow, that is gorgeous. I've added this museum to my list for the next visit to Paris. I'd love to see this in person.

Laurent,
I'm all about seeing this. Let me get it correct: Palais de Tokyo or Musée Moderne de la ville de Paris?? Well they are right next to each other. I've got a post tomorrow from here. Here we go again my friend!!!HA
And why or why has the city of Paris let that outside area get so disgraceful??

A bientôt!

Thanks for the view of this beautiful mural. The colors are very vibrant for the 1930s!

The painting is in the Musée d'Art Moderne de la ville de Paris which is located in the Palais de Tokyo. In fact about half of the Palais de Tokyo is this museum and the other part (roght side) is the Palais de Tokyo museum.

Hello, I'm looking for the image of this wonderful painting in a resolution that would be suitable for printing (magazine with limited edition). Could anybody suggest how to get it (besides contacting the museum directly - we tried, but it's too slow)? Thanks a lot for a quick response!!!

Hi, does anybody know where i can find any Raoul Dufy paintings in Paris? I am planning a trip to Paris in the Autumn and want to see as many Raoul Dufy originals as i can but i have no idea or clue where i can find his paintings - apart from this big mural. Does anyone know of galleries and / or museums in Paris that display the paintings of Raoul Dufy? Many thanks
