A night at the Opera

This is the Bastille subway station and the blue building in the background is the Bastille Opera House. I took this picture while waiting for the subway back home after having watched the Opera "La Somnambula" with Nathalie Dessay in leading role of Amina. It was just fabulous.

Very nice. I have always loved the decorations in the train stations in Paris.

I like the art work on the wall of the Metro station, too. Looks like you didn't have much company at that time of night! Glad you enjoyed the performance!

Thank you so much for posting this photo! I love the Metro!

If anyone knows of a blog dedicated to the Metro, please let me know.

I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed the performance at the Opera Bastille. Culture is not dead!

Some of the subways in Paris are just amazing, not like here in the UK..and not just inside, love the front of a lot of them too.
