Nature in Paris

As I can't fly to my vacation resort I take advantage of  it to wander in Paris and enjoy the beautiful "Parc des Buttes Chaumont" in the 19th arrondissement. Would you suppose that this picture is taken in the middle of Paris  ?

Tu fais partie des sinistrés du volcan ? Zut alors.

J'étais tout près des Buttes Chaumont hier !

Tu devrais ajouter le pont au blog de San Francisco Bay DP...

Bon dimanche quand même.

It looks like it could be anywhere but Paris. (I am amazed that you don't get paid if you don't fly. Europeean skies must be incredible without comtrails; I am also wondering if the sunsets are the same or more amazing with the ash in the air).

Anywhere but central Paris.

A perfect candidate for "Louis's" Sunday Bridge Theme-day.

No, I would not. What a wonderful spot to get away from it all.

I love that bridge over the water.

Je vois que mes présomptions étaient justes !
Non effectivement, l'illusion se pose aux Buttes Chaumont.
Mais quelle était votre destination cette fois ?

This is only about four minutes from my home by foot, and you remind me I have not been taking enough advantage of this wonderful park lately. Now that the sun is shining once more, I should go.

The bridge there re-opened this past October after a couple of years of being closed. It was renovated in time for La Nuit Blanche. I'm so glad it is open again and that the improvements made it look so much better, too.

I encourage everyone who has never been to this part of Paris to come! The XIX arr. has some real treasures like this one.

This picture inspired Anne to take a trip out to this lovely parc during her stay last week in Paris.. Barbara and I joined her and we delighted by the beauty of this parc.. It doesn't seem like it's in Paris, you're right!
Thanks for the great photo!
