Marrons chauds
Cold weather is back (only 9 degrees this morning) and street vendors are back too with the "marrons chauds" which are roasted chestnuts. This guy is selling them in front of the big department store called "Galeries Lafayette" .. as you can see on his plastic bags! Actually they are not allowed to sell on the pavement and so they're always ready to disappear quickly if Police comes.

seeing that is a little scary. I think I may need a coat!
That's so... funny Laurent! and to think that little business enterprise is run out of a super-march trolley. I would buy from him!!!

I didn't realize this was illegal because you see them everywhere. I've never tasted them. Do you like the taste Laurent? I would say, "Stay warm" but you Parisians stay bundled up even in the summer! :)
Virginia; they are DELICIOUS.... you absolutely MUST try them....
Great shot; I would never dare - I know they are illegal and I'd be afraid risking a rebuke but I would always buy from a street seller like him - they HAVE to make a living somehow and they are not selling drugs!
It's a pity that it's SO cold already, where is our Indian summer???
