@ Hariet The Police and the Gendarmerie are all "Police" the difference is that the Gendarmerie belongs to the Army force and the Police to the state but they all depend on the same chief.

I always think it's so "American" to call them POLICE. Seems like there should be a lovely French word! HA this photo could be anywhere here, except most of ours don't ride bikes. V

The male police seems to be heading for a collision with one of the cars.
That's what I thought to Steffe. The male policeman looks quite unsteady.

Nice! I live in Texas and we have policemen patrolling on horseback ...
