La Nouvelle Athènes : Gustave Moreau museum
To end the Nouvelle Athènes area theme, here is another beautiful mansion that was the home of paintor Gustave Moreau and is now a museum dedicated to his work. It's a small museum and I must admit I'm not found of his art but it like the place and especially the spiral staircase.

Great photos! The staircase is amazing.
I loved the series although I don't think I"d be going to this museum with all the other fabulous ones in Paris.

Wow! I love that stairway and the museum itself looks rather formidable but inviting. Seeing the stairway seals the deal for taking a tour of the museum for me.
Just wondering . . . do they welcome cameras inside or should one be "discrete"? The architecture itself interests me.
That staircase is fantastic.
What a staircase! Laurent, I have a question for you over on V's blog.
I too am not really a fan of his work, but it is a beautiful house and it is a great staircase.
