It's obvious the reddish doors make the photograph pop with life. I am trying to imagine the door in a black or maybe wood brown. But then this would give an austere appearance or even a forbidding feel to this image.
And of course the carved figures are beautiful no matter what color they are next to.
Laurent, I walked past this door every day that I stayed with my French family during my recent stay in Paris. It is gorgeous.
I'm glad that others now have a chance to see this beautiful building.
The next time you're in that neighborhood, look up near the school which is nearby. There is a beautiful building set back from the street that you can see over the fence. Worth a photo.
