Hotel de Beauvau

This is the entrance of the Hotel de Beauvau (Hotel is for "mansion" and not hotel where you sleep). It is the house of the French ministry of interior affairs and located on the rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, a few steps from the Elysées Palace where the President works.
I like the 3 tourists on Velib bikes probably wondering what that building with guards and flags can possibly be ! I was also on a Velib bike when I took that picture.

«Louis» knows of this hôtel, but he never went by it when he lived in Paris.

I'm relieved to find out that it's not the hotel that you stay in — that gate is so imposing and quite scary to enter! Gorgeous though.

I've walked by here before! If you stop and ask the guard, they will usually tell you what the buidling is. This is an interesting street to walk.
