At the Butcher's

We find very little old butcher shop like this one located on the Saint Louis Isle. It's a little like been back in the past. The lady even has a chair to rest while the butcher is preparing her meat. Far way from Facebook and Twitter ...

In Paris there a still a lot of little shops like this butcher, that´s great. In Austria unfortunately they have been replaced by the big supermarkets.

I love this shot. We don't have shops like this in Australia and it's always interesting to see ones in other places.

I left two messages on your travel blog but Google account didn't want to let me do it. Something is going on again.

There is something special about going to small shops and getting to know the people there --- makes every day shopping something to look forward to.

THis is what I love about Paris. The personal touch that we miss here at the big grocery stores. BTW, I now live on the second floor of a flat now. I zipped all over in my car and bought a lot of heavy items today. I had a hard time carrying all that up the stairs. I must now think like a Parisian and really plan my trips and what I buy each day. Wish I could be doing this in Paris!!!
